Five Secrets to Creating Wealth Online

Finally, at long last a blueprint for internet business success. There are five secrets to creating wealth online. If you will follow these simple rules you can not only succeed where others have failed but you can create generational wealth from your own online business which will benefit your family in years to come.

Rule 1: Select a product or service that has broad market appeal!
It will do you no good to have a monopoly in a certain market niche if you don't have enough customers to stay in business. In other words your product or service must be attractive to a vast number of customers. You are aiming for a wide customer base not a select few. Notice also that the above rule says "product or service". You can have one or the other or preferably both.

Rule 2: Make sure you have a webpage!
The advent of the internet has resulted in many online business to replace bricks and mortar. You've got to have an appealing webpage or at least your own lead capture page. There are several ways to go about creating a webpage. You can build your own webpage or you can outsource it. There are some good sites out there now which are not expensive or you can check out some of the hosting companies. You might be able to skip this step if you join a business which already has a webpage but you would then need a lead capture page which links to the company's website. It is not nearly as expensive to create your webpage as it was in the past but you must have one.

Rule 3: Limit your expenses!
Hey, wait a minute. Didn't I just tell you in the last paragraph that you had a to have a website and that costs money? Correct, but it need not be expensive. Too many people dive in to their own new business and don't watch over their expenses. They soon find themselves drowning in debt and wonder why their business is not profitable. You must have a handle on all expenses in your new business. An internet business will provide opportunities to save money in many areas that a traditional brick and mortar business can't. Just think about salaries for salespeople, rent, workers compensation insurance, and marketing in an online business as opposed to a traditional business. And, speaking of marketing, that brings us to the next secret.

Rule 4: Develop a good marketing plan!
The internet offers many opportunities to develop a good marketing plan while saving money as you do so. Traffic generation is the key here. It is true that a lot of successful internet marketers do spend money on such things as pay per click advertising but it is not necessary in order to be successful. Especially when starting a new business you want to take advantage of the many methods of marketing online which are free or very inexpensive. You may want to look at blogging, writing articles or coming up with your own e-book. It is a trial and error process and you have to find what works for you. Once your business starts bringing in the big bucks, then you can afford to spend a little money on paid advertising. Now, finally we come to the last secret.

Rule 5: Increase revenues with affiliate marketing!
Any good investment advisor will preach to you about the wisdom of diversifying your holdings among different asset classes. The same principle holds true about the revenues for your internet business. Why limit yourself to just one income stream in your business? If you choose really good affiliate partners you can successfully market other site's products and services in addition to your own and make a lot of money in referral or affiliate commissions. And the best part is there is no limit to the number of sites with which you can practice affiliate marketing. This is the greatest secret to creating wealth online.

In sum, if you are considering the plunge into becoming an online entrepreneur adhere to the five secrets above. Creating your own website or lead capture page is a must, as is offering a product or service which has very broad market appeal. Do not forget to limit your expenses. How to Take Small Steps to Bigger Sales

I'd like you to take a closer look at the range of products and services you're offering to potential clients. If you're like many of the small business owners that I meet and work with your offer is plain and simple. It consists of the provision of your one-to-one services. One offer - take it or leave it.

Now consider your offer from your potential client's prospective. There's often a distinct reluctance to buy especially if they've not experienced you or your service before. You may be a stranger to them and you're asking them to purchase your service at what may be a relatively high price. It doesn't sound too enticing does it?

In the client's mind they have the option of buying or not buying and unfortunately many times they simply choose not to buy. I would argue that some of the time the initial step you are asking them to take is just too big. Therefore you end up with a big step to small sales.

How about having a wider range of offerings so that a prospective client finds it easier to enter a one-to-one relationship with you? How can you make the initial step smaller and easier for the prospective client to take? Once they are on board you can then market to them so that you have a smaller step to bigger sales.

What Else Can You Offer?

Here are a number of different options that you can offer to prospective clients so that the initial step is much easier for them to take:

1. Publish an Ezine (Email Newsletter)

This is a great way for prospective clients to get to know, like and trust you and warm them up to buying your one-to-one services at a later date. It's very simple for a prospective client to sign-up for your ezine and it doesn't cost them anything. It also gives people the opportunity to get to know the way you think, your personality and exactly what type of services you offer.

Giving FREE tele-seminars is a fabulous way to promote your business, help your prospects get a sense of who you are, develop your reputation, increase your ezine subscribers, and jack-up sales. I've been offering free tele-seminar for some time now because it gives people an introduction to what I teach (how to get more business without working harder). These calls have generated tons of new ezine subscribers and subsequently more paying clients.

The real benefit of both tele-classes and workshops is that they leverage your efforts and maximize the use of your time. You can reach multiple people at the same time and if you're doing a tele-seminar the added bonus is you don't even have to leave your home!

Giving PAID tele-seminars promotes your business and generates revenues as well. I do one paid tele-seminar at least every two months on a different marketing topic.

There are many other options that you can offer to potential clients to make it easier for them to enter into a business relationship with you. You could also consider offering an "intensive" or "bootcamp" series of multi-week programs. What else can you think of?

The "Formulas" For Online Sales Success

Some of you may be skeptical about changing your website, some of you will not even give it another thought and some of you will test different strategies, headlines etc in a bid to maximize your conversion rate.

Guess who will be the most successful?

Exactly, if you're not prepared to test different headlines, strategies and sales systems on your website you'll never realise it's true potential and I'm not just talking about small percentage increases here I'm talking about sales increases of up to 400%.

Think about that. What would a 400% sales increase do to your bottom line?

Now not all of your tests will yield rewards & some may actually reduce sales. The thing is not to think of these as failures rather think to yourself, I've successfully identified one strategy, headline etc that doesn't work with the market I am targeting and move on to the next one.

So how do you test each of your changes?

Firstly, you need to have your tracking software in place.

Google analytics is very powerful, free and easy to set up. Most of you by now should have this up and running on your site, if not head over to Google and check it out.

Next you'll need to know which stats to monitor.

At the most basic level you need to be tracking the total amount of unique visitors to your sales page each month.

Note: server hits & server requests do not tell you the amount of unique visitors, in fact, toady server hits and requests are pretty much useless to us for monitoring results.You also need to be tracking the total amount of sales and sales revenue generated by each sales page on your website.With this information you can calculate your website conversion rate and your average transaction price.

How to calculate conversion rate:
EG: 25 (Sales) ÷ 1000 (Visitors) x 100 = 2.50 (2.5% Conversion Rate)

How to calculate average transaction price:
EG: £1,200 (Rev) ÷ 25 (Sales) = 48.00 (£48.00 Average Transaction Value)

If you've not yet been monitoring, tracking & recording these statistics you'll need to start right away and leave your website alone for at least 1000 visitors over a minimum of 1 month.

Why?

Firstly this will give you a good base line of how well your website is performing at the moment including all the peaks and troughs of the month with a suitable amount of visitors.

Secondly each and every change you make to your site should be monitored over the same period of time.

Now although we can monitor through the same period of time your traffic will vary slightly which is why you need to calculate your website conversion rate.Once you are consistently monitoring these results making and monitoring changed is simple.

However, (and this is important) only make one change at a time and then monitor the results over 1 month and at least 1000 visitors.

Why? Well the answer to that is simple.

Let's say you changed your headline and at the same time changed your guarantee statement and your sales conversion rate didn't change. What if your headline doubled sales and the guarantee actually halved sales or vice versa.

How would you know exactly what's happened?

You wouldn't, if you actually do this you'd think oh we'll sales didn't change let's move onto something else, oblivious to the fact that you could be doing twice as many sales.

So it's extremely important that you're patient and make only one change each month and then monitor and track your results.

However, occasionally it will be glaringly obvious throughout a month that a change may be dramatically hurting sales, in this case simply put the change back and come up with something else. There's no point in waiting an entire month if you're noticing a huge difference in the wrong direction.

Keep to this system and test something new every month. I promise you'll dramatically improve your websites conversation ratio. Especially as I'll be giving you great strategies and tips over the coming months that have made huge differences to both our websites and the many clients we coach.

For those of you who don't want to wait an entire month to cover a wide range of changes you can use "Split Testing". This is where you monitor the sales and conversion rates of 3 or 4 sales pages at the same time. Whilst this is simple to do with information products or one page sales process systems it can be extremely difficult with multiple product or catalog based style websites.
